SSBC Meeting Minutes – 13 Jan 09

Meeting opened at 6.30 by Chairman Chuck Carucci
Middle school SOI was not submitted on time due to local server failure. MSBA office closed due to snow, so no message could be relayed to the office. All data is ready, but area on website is closed. The State is being contacted to see if it is possible to resubmit.
In anticipation of some monies from a Gov’t stimulus plan, Tim Murray started a task force to line up “shovel ready” projects for submittal. School Committee submitted 7 projects related to School building needs:
- information technology
- asbestos abatement (little)
- School Security
- Water treatment plant
- Lighting efficiency (HS & MS)
- HVAC improvements (HS & MS)
- Window replacement (MS)
Discussion of work done for SSBC web site
- Draft website up and running on private site
- Content and tab subject discussed
- Add charge, members, vision, links (MSBA, etc)
- Sean to ask Jean T for SSBC town domain email
